Nourish your gut with this Easy Kimchi recipe!
This recipe is a quick & easy twist on the traditional Korean dish - it really packs a flavour punch!! 🌶️ Kimchi contains probiotic bacteria that may benefit your gut microbiome 💚
Ingredients:
1 x Chinese cabbage, shredded
1 x Carrot, grated
8 x Radish, grated
4 x Spring onions
1 x 4cm piece of ginger
4 x Garlic cloves
1 tbsp Salt
1 tbsp Chilli flakes
2 tbsp Fish Sauce
3 tbsp Sriracha
1 tbsp Golden caster sugar
3 tbsp Rice Vinegar
Method:
- Add the cabbage to a large bowl, sprinkle with salt and mix. Leave for 1 hour.
- Blend the ginger, garlic, fish sauce, sriracha, rice vinegar & sugar to a paste.
- Mix the grated carrot, radish & spring onion with the paste. Add the cabbage & mix again.
- Spoon the mixture into a sterilised air tight container.
- Leave overnight at room temp to ferment, then store in the fridge.
The flavour will intensify the longer you leave it!
